NYFA-ABU DHABI VISA REQUIREMENTS

ALL students wishing to study at NYFA Abu Dhabi are required to submit the following to the Abu Dhabi administration PRIOR to arriving at Abu Dhabi.
- Valid passport copy
- 12 x Passport size photos with white background only
- Full home address and telephone number
- Mother's full name

Visa Processing:
If you are American, Canadian, Australian, GCC, or European, you will be issued a Visit Visa at the UAE airport upon arrival. However, all foreigners who remain in the UAE for a longer period (all one-year or two-year students) must apply for a resident visa after arrival. We will guide you through the process of applying for a resident visa. This must be processed immediately upon arrival at the New York Film Academy Abu Dhabi campus, as there are penalties if you stay beyond the Visit Visa expiration.

NOTE: If you hold a nationality other than those mentioned above you will not be issued a visa at the airport. You are required to apply for a visa at the UAE embassy in your home country, prior to entering the UAE.

Medical Insurance:
UAE law requires that residents have UAE medical insurance. Your resident visa will not be processed if you do not have the correct insurance. Private and/or foreign medical insurance will not be accepted. UAE medical insurance can be secured with your resident visa application at the New York Film Academy Abu Dhabi campus. You will be required to pay for the UAE medical insurance, which varies dependent upon age and other criteria. Coverage will include approved UAE hospitals and clinics.

Other Nationalities:
Some nationalities like American, Canadian, Australian, GCC & all European can be issued a visit visa for 30 to 60 days at the airport upon arrival. However they still need to apply for resident visa for one year while they arrive here. We will guide you thru procedures accordingly to fasten your application in order to avoid any penalty fees that might occur if you stay more than the given period. Please note that penalty for staying over the given time will be AED 100 per day i.e USD 27. Once your resident visa is ready you will have to leave the country and reenter on our visa or you may pay AED 500 without travelling.

Note: If you hold nationality other than the above and have a resident permit at any of them you will not be issued a visa at the airport.
